"Street to School" Regular Donation Program
One of Metta major services is to help street children to break away from begging on the streets to having an opportunity to obtain an education. In the past years, not many street children were willing to attend school, but now, they all enjoy; many street children were illiterate, but now, they can read and write; street children did not have any discipline, but now, they can follow rules. They have changed a lot.
The “Street to School” Donation Plan aims to provide enough resources for the children to attend school through an one-off or monthly donation.
- School Subsidy: Support transportation fee, books and tutoring classes as well as allowance for school
- Nutritious Food: Provide 3 nutritious meals a day
- Accommodation: Provide a stable environment for students to concentrate on their study
- Recreational Activities: Allow street children to enjoy recreational activities on weekends or public holidays and to broaden their horizons
Donation Method
Monthly Donation
- A monthly donation of HK$670 can cover school and dormitory expenses for one child for one month
- A monthly donation of HK$340 can cover part of school and dormitory expenses for one child for one month
- A monthly donation of HK$240 can cover school expense for one child for one month
Yearly Donation
- A yearly donation of HK$8,000 can cover school and dormitory expenses for one child for 1 year
- A yearly donation of HK$4,000 can cover part of school and dormitory expenses for one child for 1 year
- A yearly donation of HK$2,880 can cover school expense for one child for 1 year
